 
Belleair is a town located in Pinellas County, Florida . It should not be confused with Bel-Air, Florida , located in Seminole County , or Belair, Florida , located in Leon County . It is also the present residence of professional wrestler , Hulk Hogan . Scenes of the town are shown in the reality show, Hogan Knows Best .
Belleair real estate has been one of the crown jewels of Pinellas County real estate, it offers clean, growing community in Florida near the Gulf of Mexico with a great business community. Belleair has had a grand history and is widely known for the Belleview Biltmore Hotel. It all started in 1890 when Henry B. Plant, a railroad magnate built the hotel. It is one of the largest wooden structures in the world and in fact it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Belleair became incorporated in 1923 and is very small compared to other cities in the St. Petersburg / Clearwater area. Belleair is less then two square miles situated between Clearwater and Largo. Belleair consists of single family home real estate and luxurious condo real estate. Belleair has approximately 4,100 residents.
Belleair Parks and Recreation:
Belleair has the more parks per square mile then most other cities in America. The city of Belleair Beach has eleven public parks for the enjoyment of its residents and visitors. Some parks include Morgan Beach Park, the Belleair Causeway Beach Area, Bayside Park and Crossman Park. The City of Belleair also has a unique park called Belleair Boat Ramp Park which provides access to the Intercoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico through the use of one of its seven docks. This five acre park also provides enough parking for 151 vehicles including 107 spaces designed to fit vehicles with attached boat trailers. If you are an avid boater or just wanted to enjoy a day of water sports, owning a home in Belleair may be well suited for you.
Geography
Belleair is located at 27°56'6" North, 82°48'36" West (27.935048, -82.810117) GR1 .
According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 7.3 km² (2.8 mi² ). 4.6 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 36.30% water.
Demographics
As of the census GR2 of 2000 , there are 4,067 people, 1,973 households, and 1,225 families residing in the town. The population density is 877.2/km² (2,265.8/mi²). There are 2,263 housing units at an average density of 488.1/km² (1,260.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.35% White , 0.15% African American , 0.15% Native American , 0.39% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.20% from other races , and 0.76% from two or more races. 2.53% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,973 households out of which 17.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.1% are married couples living together, 5.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% are non-families. 34.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 21.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.04 and the average family size is 2.58.
In the town the population is spread out with 16.2% under the age of 18, 2.5% from 18 to 24, 20.1% from 25 to 44, 28.5% from 45 to 64, and 32.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 53 years. For every 100 females there are 84.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 79.1 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $63,267, and the median income for a family is $96,400. Males have a median income of $61,548 versus $31,313 for females. The per capita income for the town is $59,164. 4.0% of the population and 1.4% of families are below the poverty line . Out of the total population, 2.7% of those under the age of 18 and 4.4% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
