Relocating anywhere in the country can be a big chore. Organizing the sale of your house, finding a new house, packing up all of your belongings, turning on your utilities just to name a few can be a very daunting, but having a great Realtor will make your relocation to Tampa very smooth.

First you need to find the perfect home that will fit your needs, location and budget. Many people relocate to Tampa Bay because of a job, so getting you as close to your new job is usually a priority. In order to help you find the home of your dreams there are a few things we do to get you started. Once you choose us as your Realtor, we will do a quick interview to find out your ideal home. Next, we setup a service called a Client Gateway which will send you an email with a link to view homes that meet your criteria. Those homes will always be saved so you can log on 24 hours a day to sort, mark favorite ones, and delete ones you are not interested in. Any new listings or price changes will be added to your Client Gateway every morning. After a few days of reviewing the homes that are emailed to you, it is usually a good idea to tweak the search. Most home buyers in Tampa Bay will have changes to there criteria based on what they have seen in the home search emails.

Next step is making a list of homes that interest you and fit your criteria. Some people find fifty houses, some only find five houses. After selecting the houses to look at for your relocation you will send this list to your Tampa Bay Realtor and we will pre screen the homes for you to make sure they are in just the right neighborhood. We do not charge a fee for doing this and we do not charge a filing and processing fee as other companies do. Usually you would see a fee of around $300 on your closing statement as a service fee to the real estate brokerage company. Our services are completely 100% free for all of our buyers. The seller pays around a 6% commission to the Realtor that has the property listed and that is split between the listing Realtor and the Realtor that represents the buyer. If the listing Realtor brings in their own buyer, then they keep the full 6%. It is not recommended, as a buyer, that you let the listing agent represent you too. This is a conflict of interest and most likely the buyer will not get the best deal.

After selecting the homes, you need to plan a trip down to Tampa , Florida . I would recommend staying for a weekend, so you can really get a feel for the area and the homes. If you find a few homes you like, I always recommend going back for a second visit. Your Realtor doesn't mind showing you the same house a few times and it is usually encouraged. Also, if you come on a weekend, you can go Open House Hunting. This is a great way to see Tampa Bay .
