Treasure Island, one of the best beaches on the Gulf Coast of Florida. This small town has been famous for almost a century with tourists and investors. Back in the mid 1900's investors began building luxury hotels for tourists and the rich. A good portion of those hotels, are still he today, most have been remodeled multiple times, but there legacy can be seen in the current real estate as well. Slowly those hotels are being taken down, and new high-rise luxury condos are being put up in there place. This trend is not negative to real estate investors in the area. With the large surge in real estate development comes an increase in homes sale prices.

Considering as of July the cheapest home in Indian Rocks Beach was a 2 bedroom . 2 bathroom home for over $300,000. Though this is not uncomon for the Gulf Beaches it is worth noting that you won;t be able to find many homes sub $300,000. The good news for anyone looking to live here seasonally, like alot of home owners here, is the fact there is a nice selection of homes in the $300-400,000 range. Most where built in the 60's, but this adds to there appeal. Some of the homes still have there origanl imported tile, which is impossible to get these days, so finding a home with that included is a huge plus for fans of Tile.

The next step up is the $400-600,000 range, most homes in this range are either 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single family homes. These where also generally built in the mid to late 1900's, and the quality in most good. If you are looking for a small 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom waterfront condo, those can also be found in this price range.

Then there are the million dollar homes. These are mostly on the waterfront, with a dock or waterfront view. The homes range from one million to over five million. Generally these homes are 3 bedroom anf higher, as well as 2 or more bathrooms. You will also find pools throughout the price range. Homes for sale in this price do take longer to sell then the average home, but this is primarily due to the low quantity of home buyers.

Treasure Island is located in Pinellas County. The city is located on the Gulf Coast in Florida, bordering directly with the Gulf Of Mexico. We are only a short drive from St.Petersburg, and all the shopping St.Pete has to offer. Then you have Clearwater which is only 15-20 minutes away, and they have similiar options to St.Pete. The dining in Treasure Island is excellent, and a short drive to Redington Beach or John Pass will give you many restaurant choices as well as boutique shopping.
